Who We Are
Formaley Translations is a proudly female- and minority-owned business, founded by Elisa Yu-Shan Lion and Lin-Dai (Yu-Shan) Kendall. As global citizens with a rich and diverse ethnic heritage, both were born in Honduras to a multicultural lineage of Caucasian, Chinese, and Hispanic ancestry. Their international upbringing and education at the American School of Tegucigalpa—a U.S. Embassy-affiliated Blue Ribbon school designed for the children of diplomats and foreign dignitaries—instilled in them a lifelong passion for language, culture, and cross-cultural communication.
With a deep commitment to excellence and accessibility, Formaley Translations specializes in interpreting, translation, and immigration form-filing services delivered with accuracy, integrity, and cultural sensitivity. Elisa and Lin-Dai bring firsthand experience navigating multilingual and multicultural environments, allowing them to serve clients with insight, empathy, and precision.
